Pros and Cons of LED TV
Now it’s time we took a look at the pros and cons of LED-Lit HDTV.

The overall consensus shows that the advantages or pros of the LED-Lit HDTV far outweigh the negatives or cons. This is because the engineers of he LED technology had years to look at how they would configure and manufacture all the components as well as the usual usage and wear and tear. They knew that some people like to keep their televisions on day and night. Some use them for video games that really put a set to the task regarding performance. This being said, the LED-Lit HDTV screens are highly on the top end of o performance as any customers will attest to.

There are three types of LED screens. There is RGB, White Edge, and Full Array. You’ll want to know which kind of set you’ll be getting and that calls for knowing what each does. The RGB allows for certain precisions in contrast and color, White Edge spreads the light from around the edges across a special panel that diffuses the light evenly, and finally, Full Array is the option of choice as it utilizes many LEDs spread across like cells of on skin that responds to color changes and more. When that beautiful landscape appears or that monster bursts up from the deep, you’ll catch it in the best contrast and color depth.

Another and probably the most important pro about LED-Lit HDTV after the picture quality is the energy savings. At present an average of 40% in savings which makes the price seem irrelevant as in the long run the unit will pay for itself.

The only cons might be price as at present this type of screen outdistances others in costs however that might be dismissed considering the longevity of the devices. There are a few bugs in regard to LED-Lit HDTV but overall they’re interrelation to the types of streams and a few compatibility issues with other devices but that isn’t a major issue at all. As time goes on there will be new devices and the technology of these devices will need to be compatible which shouldn’t be a major problem as they’ll be the display, not the controlling mechanism such as game consoles and players. Blu-ray may be the player of the day but there’s no telling what’s on the drawing board at the labs.

Other pros are the number of manufacturers now producing LED-Lit HDTVs. Dozens of manufacturers have jumped on the bandwagon and the prices of the units span a spectrum related to size and features. This competition is sure to drive prices down and with the prediction of more breakthroughs in the technologies and manufacturing, the prices will drop even more. In addition, the energy savings and the estimated 100,000 hours of operation makes the battlefield for the present and the future of the market quite interesting for the consumer.

The final note is that this technology is the present coolness in television display and will be so for quite some time if the industry statistics hold out to be true.
